2025 Highlights: A Nottingham Wedding Photographer’s Year
WOW, another year has blasted by, and it’s been absolutely chock-full of bangin’ weddings.
2025 marks the end of my 6th year as a full-time Nottingham wedding photographer, and it’s also taken me over the line to shooting more than 200 weddings, which feels completely bonkers.
I’m so grateful to every couple who trusted me to photograph their wedding this year. I’m incredibly fortunate to do what I love for a living, and I never take it for granted.
Each year, I like to take a step back and reflect on the photos that best represent how I see the world as a candid wedding photographer.
Distilling around 100 of my favourite candid wedding photos from roughly 8,000 delivered images is always a beast of a challenge. Every wedding is packed with unique, joyful and completely authentic moments, and choosing between them is never easy.
I don’t work from a shot list, and I don’t give direction while I’m shooting, because I believe the best moments are spontaneous. The real stuff. The chaos, the laughter, the hugs, the dance floor madness, the tiny looks between people who love each other.
That’s why all the photos I’m sharing here are genuine moments only.

Do I take fun-loving photos of couples together without awkward posing?
YES, absolutely.
I haven’t included them above because I do provide some direction, but I won’t ask you to ‘pose’.
I keep direction loose, so you are free to express yourself however you feel in the moment. I won’t be micromanaging your hands or telling you where to look. My goal is for the photos that come out from the time together to be a product of you and not me as the wedding photographer.
This part of the day won’t feel like a photoshoot, but rather like you’re having some much-needed time together. I only need 5 minutes to get some great photos of you enjoying being together, so you can get back to the party or not…
Venues I Loved as a Nottingham Wedding Photographer
It’s been another brilliant year of travelling to some stunning wedding venues in Nottingham and surrounding areas as well as to work in so many fantastic settings further afield.
This year, I returned to some favourites, including The Walled Garden, Foxtail Barns, Shottle Hall and The Pumping House.
I also photographed weddings at Swanley Meadows, Thorpe Garden, Wharfedale Grange, Courtyard Barns and That Amazing Place for the first time, which was ace.
I’ve loved photographing ceremonies in every kind of setting, from churches and marquees to outdoor weddings full of sunshine, wind, laughter and the odd bit of beautiful chaos.
Alongside weddings in Nottinghamshire, I’ve also photographed weddings in Derbyshire and shot weddings in Leicestershire, which is one of the best parts of this job. Every venue has its own feel, but the thing I’m always looking for is the same: real moments, real people and proper joy.
In 2026, I’m booked to photograph at Molecey Mill, which is already shaping up to be one of my new favourite wedding venues.
I’m so excited for the weddings already in the diary for 2026 and beyond. I can’t wait to see what unfolds and to capture all the joyous, ridiculous, emotional and completely unscripted moments.
