Most of your day will be beautifully unscripted, which is what makes your wedding photos unique and fun. That’s whay 95% of what I show on my socials and website relates to those moments.
However, who doesn’t want gorgeously happy photos of themselves together on their wedding day, too?!
My couples often share with me that they’ve been to a wedding where the bride and groom were mostly absent from the drinks reception because the photographer had taken them away for far too long for photos, or they are worried about not feeling photogenic / looking awkward in front of the camera.
The good news is that I can take wonderful photos of the two of you in under 10 minutes, so you can get back to the party, and I won’t ask you to pose, and I won’t ask you to kiss.
I won’t ask you to do anything that you wouldn’t normally do just because it’s your wedding day. In keeping with my documentary wedding photography approach to the whole day, I’m hands-off, so I won’t be micromanaging your hands or directing your gaze. I keep things as simple as asking you to hold each other’s hands while we walk around the grounds of your wedding venue. I’ll shoot along the way, and if I find good light or a backdrop that I like, I may ask you to stay put and get close together.
That’s it. No overthinking.
As such, my ‘couple time’ sessions are often highlights for my couples during their day because they get some alone time, and it won’t feel like a photoshoot.
