A traditional church wedding, a relaxed barn reception at Mythe Barn, Leicestershire. Isabelle and Patrick’s wedding was nothing short of perfect for them. With an entourage of bridesmaids, groomsmen, friends and family by their side it was clear this couple’s life was all about the people in it, their love for them and their love for one another.
My day started with capturing both sides of the wedding party amidst their busy prep, and let me tell you, with seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen, it was a whole lot of busy. One of my bride prep photos won an award with This is Reportage too! (photo below). Over 11,000 images were submitted to the competition and only 51 awards were given by the judges!
Wearing a fitted lace bodice and floaty chiffon skirt, Isabelle was the epitome of elegance as she walked down the aisle at the All Saints Church. Waiting for her was Patrick in his tailored navy blue three-piece suit and pastel blue tie. In a traditional church ceremony complete with traditional hymns they tied the knot and exited the church in the most modern way, with a ‘woop’ in the air and a sea of confetti that their guests cascaded over them.
After congratulatory hugs, it was time to head to their relaxed reception at Mythe Barn. Known for its picturesque setting and rustic charm, this beautiful Midlands venue blends contemporary elegance with traditional countryside vibes, making it perfect for some impressive and varied wedding photography. Before heading indoors to feast, the couple and their guests were treated to an outdoor cocktail reception showcasing the stunning backdrop of the barn and the extensive gardens with beautiful views.
The classic and elegant styling of the reception was perfect for the Grain Store at Mythe Barn. Paired with the wooden accents, the olive trees and the fragrant floral door frame, like the couple, was a match made in heaven for this beautiful venue. The cascading drapes, opulent chandeliers and contemporary single-stem floral vases on each table were the perfect finishing touch.
After whisking the newlyweds off for some photos in the beautiful landscapes, the only thing that was left to do was party! Isabelle and Patrick did the traditional cutting of the cake, before taking centre stage amidst the beautiful beams of Mythe Barn for their first dance, officially opening the dancefloor for a night of fun, laughter, neon glasses and dancing!
