One of the perks of being a Derbyshire wedding photographer is that I get to spend time in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Derbyshire is one of my favourite counties because it is on the edge of the Peak District, full of breathtaking landscapes. My family and I visit regularly, and I celebrated my 40th birthday there. A little know fact about the Peak District is that it was the UK’s first National Park created in 1951.
Whether it’s walking along rolling hills, exploring quiet valleys, or watching the light fall across the dramatic edges, there’s something truly special about this area. It’s that combination of rugged beauty, open space, and peaceful atmosphere that makes Derbyshire such an incredible place to get married. I genuinely feel lucky to call this part of the UK a place where I get to work and capture weddings.
