Did you buy your wedding dress so you could look like a manikin all day long? I thought not. You bought your dress to have the best day of your life in!
Relax and enjoy the day you’ve been dreaming of for ages and let go and have an amazing time. So, go on ride that space hopper, ravish that ice cream and scale that fence for a bit of adventure.
Plus, you’re going to look even more amazing if you’re not filled with worry all day. So go on embrace your day, enjoy your venue and get your wedding dress dirty!
2) It’s not dirty, it’s covered in good times!
This one’s all about your perspective. You could look at the fact that you got your wedding dress dirty and think ‘oh, no my beautiful dress is not as white as it was 10 hours ago’ or, you could look each little addition to your dress as fun memories to look back on in 10 years time.
The chocolate stains will remind you of when you said ‘yes’ to the cake / ice cream and how good it tasted. The red wine stain will remind you of the time you laughed so hard you couldn’t contain it. Grass stains will remind you of how you thrashed your husband at every one of your outdoor games. The soil marks will remind you of the time you spent together enjoying the sunset alone together or walking through that cornfield – when else do couples decide to do that other than on your wedding day? (while your photographer captured those golden hour images that you love so much of course)
So, you might decide at the end of it all to say ‘nah’ to the dry cleaning. You may come to realise that you are not left with a dirty wedding dress but a dress covered in wonderful character that brings back all your fantastic memories. It’s definitely going to make you want to get those wedding photos out to look through again, that’s for certain!
3) No one’s going to notice or care about the dirt!
Everyone’s going to be dressed to impress at your wedding (well the girls will be anyway, guys you’ve probably just thrown something together because you haven’t spent a week trying on different wears).
So you might think that you aren’t going to look so impressive if your beautiful wedding dress gets a little dirty.
But your wedding dress is not the main event- YOU are!
You don’t need to worry about your guests noticing dirt on your wedding dress because you’ve planed such an awesomely fun party that they won’t even care. They might even be some of the dirt culprits, they might even be the ones that made you dance so hard that a spill was only going to happen!
