Why you need a wedding album

With digital copies of your photos, you’d have to go to greater lengths to view them and chances are it’s too much faff. You’d need to retrieve them from wherever you put your hard disc, if you even remember where it is, and find your favourite photos from scratch every time (unless you made a ‘favourites’ folder).
Having a wedding album means that you will look at your photos and enjoy going back to them a lot more compared with digital files.
In fact, just knowing that your photos are in an album in the same room as you can be enough of a prompt to have a quick look.
2) Keep your photos safe for the next generation
Your wedding photos document an important part of your family history.
If you have a wedding album that’s built to last, it’s not just a collection of photos but a family heirloom. You will be able to hand your album down the generations – what an amazing gift!
The same can’t be said of digital files. Over the last 10 years, wedding photographers have moved from delivering digital photos on DVDs to USB sticks to online galleries. Hard disks only last about 5 years and cloud storage carries a risk of data outages and breaches.
You don’t want technical issues to get in the way of preserving your family history.
Albums are timeless. They are the best way to display your photos and preserve your memories for future generations.
3) Your wedding will get forgotten about as life moves on
Let’s face it, you probably won’t get around to making your wedding album for years, most couples don’t.
It’s understandable. Life moves on, you might have moved house, changed jobs and even had children. With children, everything goes out the window, everyone is more interested in seeing photos of your babies than you.
Now the thought of making a wedding album feels more like a rainy day task.
Finding out what to do with your photos just feels like an extra thing on your to-do list in your already busy lives. You need to (if you are doing it yourself) design a wedding album and find the right print shop to preserve your photos, which is a big task so you put it off.
