Welcome to another edition of how I got the shot.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I’m completely hands-off. That means no staging or posing.
So, how did I get this cool shot, which was photographed at a wedding in Leicestershire, without giving any direction? I consider the photo to be a ‘details shot’ in the non-traditional sense. I don’t shoot the traditional type of shot, which is taking photos of inanimate objects in isolation, and that’s just not storytelling; it’s boring.
