Michael and Joanna- you guys absolutely rocked your Nottingham City wedding!
This was the most intimate wedding that I have ever shot (4 people), but it was no less magical, you could totally feel the happiness-just look at Joanna’s reaction to the ring being presented : )
Sidney and Ola, the bride and groom’s best friends had traveled from different continents just to be there, now that’s some friendship.
Michael and Joanna had been together for 13 years before finally deciding to tie the knot. They were having an intimate wedding ceremony because next year they will be heading to Kenya to do it all again.
I am told that in Kenyan culture that unless families are there to see the marriage ceremony, it never happened. Michael said – his family will say ’I did not see the ring go on the finger’, so these photos will have to do for now!
After the ceremony it was time for some fun, Nottingham city wedding shots. It was cool to have passersby congratulate them. We headed over to the fountains and then into the Exchange Arcade, it was so much fun to shoot a piggyback through there- it just had to be done and Michael and Joanna were well up for it!
Next, we raced off to the Walled Garden in Bramcote Hills Park for more newlywed shots. It was raining but did not dampen the mood. After meeting on the dance floor one night 13 years ago, it only seemed natural to throw a few dance moves in to the mix.
Michael and Joanna thank you so much for having me document your wonderful wedding day. I can’t wait to see your pictures from the ‘real’ wedding in Kenya!
PS Michael works for HMRC- don’t tell anyone 😉
