1) Keep an open mind
You probably already know exactly what you want from your wedding dress right? Well, you won’t truly know until you begin trying on different wedding dresses.
If you keep an open mind you might be surprised at what you might have overlooked. Your ideal dress could be right in front of you but you might not even realise. So, try not to dismiss anything without giving it a go, oh and have loads of fun whilst doing it!
2) Find a trusted boutique
Choosing your wedding dress journey. You’re not only saying ‘yes’ to the dress, you’re saying ‘yes’ to the boutique. You’ll be going back for your fittings so you must feel comfortable with the service.
3) You have the final say
Take people along to your appointment whose opinion you cherish and who you would like to share the ‘yes to the dress’ moment with. All of us want the opinions of our closet family and friends but ultimately it is your final decision.
4) Stick to you budget
Make sure you have a budget in mind. Although not all of us want to be confined by cost, it is always good to set a budget and stick to it as much as possible. It might be worth asking the bridal boutiques you want to visit what their minimum and maximum dress prices are before booking an appointment to see if they are within your budget.
5) Give yourself plenty of time
Lead-time is so important. On average, dresses take 4-6 months to be delivered and then 2-3 additional months are needed for your alterations. Having a dress ordered 9 months before you wedding will leave plenty of time for this.
