I had so much fun hanging out with Josh and Helen on their engagement shoot in Derbyshire. They’re a great couple, full of energy and giggles. During our engagement photoshoot at Elvaston Castle, we went for a relaxed walk through the grounds for some good times and to capture some romantic and lovely moments.

Josh and Helen’s story

Josh and Helen were childhood sweet-hearts, how cool is that?! They met at a boarding school in Africa while both their parents served as Christian missionaries. Many years later, after going on separate journeys, they became reunited back in the UK and their love blossomed. Now they are finally getting married. During the photoshoot we chatted about everything from ‘what’s the point of Christmas cards these days?’ to house prices around Bramcotte.

Wait! How could I possibly do an engagement photoshoot at Elvaston Castle and not shoot the happy couple in full view of the castle I hear you ask?

Wedding Photographer – but no cheese allowed!

Well, the simple answer is – my style is strictly no cheese allowed 🙂 I love to create natural looking engagement photographs. I like to shoot what I think will be cool and different, so you won’t see me taking pictures for the sake of it. Keeping my photography fresh by trying new things is important to me because I don’t want my clients’ photos to look like other peoples.
